ALLIES IN PROSTATE AND MEN’S HEALTH AWARENESS
Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN)

Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit patient education and advocacy organization founded in 2003 by prostate cancer survivor Thomas A. Farrington. PHEN’s mission is to eliminate the African American prostate cancer disparity and increase support and resources for all men at high risk of prostate cancer. To achieve this mission, PHEN provides education, awareness, and outreach on early detection and screening, treatment options, clinical trials, and survivorship support. Its initiatives include national community programs, the PHEN Survivor Network, online television and webinars, educational symposiums, church partnerships, screening rallies, and dedicated portals such as PHENPSA and PHENPath that help men make informed decisions about their health.
100 Black Men of America Inc.

100 Black Men of America, Inc. is a national organization committed to improving the quality of life within African American communities through mentoring, education, economic empowerment, and health advocacy. With chapters across the country, the organization works to address critical disparities by engaging men and boys through culturally grounded programs that foster leadership, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
As part of its Health & Wellness platform, 100 Black Men collaborates closely with the Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN) to confront the disproportionate impact of prostate cancer on Black men. Together, they deliver community-based education, screening awareness initiatives, and trusted guidance designed to promote early detection and reduce preventable deaths. This partnership strengthens both organizations’ missions by ensuring that lifesaving prostate health information reaches the men who need it most, in the settings where outreach is most effective.
